Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This policy explains what information FastUtil (“we”, “us”) collects when you use fastutil.net (the “Site”), how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].

1. The text and files you enter into our tools

Our tools (for example the JSON converter, Base64 tool, JWT decoder, password generator and word-game solvers) run in your web browser. The content you type or paste is processed on your own device and is not sent to our servers. We cannot see it and we do not store it. The word-game tools download a static word list from our own server; your letters and patterns are matched against that list locally.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers may process technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure, prevent abuse and understand overall traffic. We may use privacy-respecting or standard analytics tools (for example Google Search Console or Google Analytics) to measure which pages are used; where we do, they may set cookies or use similar identifiers.

3. Advertising, cookies and third-party vendors

We may show advertisements on the Site, including ads served by Google AdSense and other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info, or in the EU/UK at www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used, through a consent banner that lets you accept, reject or change your choice at any time.

Because third parties set their own cookies, we do not control them. Please read their privacy policies for details.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site itself does not require cookies to work and does not use them to build a profile of you. Cookies may be set by advertising and analytics partners as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools will continue to work, although ads may be less relevant.

5. The contact form

If you send us a message, we receive the name, email address and message you submit. The form is processed by our form provider, Formspree, which transmits the message to us. We use this information only to read and respond to your message and keep it only as long as needed for that purpose. Please do not include passwords, tokens or other sensitive information in a message.

6. How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the Site, to understand which tools are useful so we can improve them, to respond to enquiries, to display advertising that supports the free service, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

7. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site (hosting, content delivery, analytics, advertising and form handling), when required by law, or to protect our rights and users’ safety. These providers may process data outside your country.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California privacy law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not receive the content you enter into the tools and do not require accounts, we hold very little personal data. To exercise a right, email [email protected].

9. Children

The Site is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security and retention

The Site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but because tool inputs never leave your device, the main risk to that data is on the device itself. Server logs and contact messages are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
